Traffic in São Paulo is not a nightmare: it is worst!!!!
Be prepared because you will never believe what you are about to experience. Fortunately, there are a few tricks that can ease your struggle to survive, here they are:
- choose a place to live which is either close to the office or close to your children´s school: at least part of the family will not have to deal with this issue
- avoid rush hours, but I do not mean simply avoiding them, I really mean NOT scheduling any of your meetings between 8:00 and 10:00 AM and after 16:00
- On an easy sunday morning, after having double checked with Google maps, discover all the short cuts and alternatives to big avenues
- Buy a CD to learn portuguese while in the traffic!!! No kidding, this can be very helpful
