Regarding private hospitals, there is nothing to worry, they are empty (median occupancy rate in ICU for private hospitals is around 25%).
Why am I checking hospitalisations in PUBLIC hospitals? Because, as these sick patients represent a fixed percentage of cases, it gives us a very nice idea if cases are rising or not.
Last but not least, ocupancy rate at PUBLIC hospitals (for ICU beds) is in the range of 55 to 60% (not depicted in the graphic).
So, GOOD news are that we have all the facilities we need to take care of sick patients and BAD news is that we have not left the "plateau", we are not yet in the descending curve as you may see for yourself in the graphic.
